Charging MG EVs will depend upon the model of the MG EV or PHEV that you have. All electric vehicles will come with an emergency 3-pin plug, but this is not ideal for prolonged and regular charging.

MG has three cars that use electrical batteries; one PHEV and
two battery electric EVs:
● MG 5 EV (61.1 kWh battery capacity)
● MG HS Plug-in Hybrid (16.6 kWh battery capacity)
● MG ZS EV (72.6 kWh battery capacity)
The battery capacity of the car determines how far it will go on
a full charge, how much it will cost to charge it fully, and how long it will
take.

MG EV Chargers

● A full charge in 23 hours with an emergency 3-pin plug.
● A full charge in 14 hours with a 3.6 kW charger,
● A full charge in 8 hours with either a 7 kW charger or and a 22 kW charger.
● 20-80% charge in around 40 minutes using a 50 kW or 30 minutes using a 150 kW charger.
For the MG ZS EV, you’ll get:
● A full charge in 20 hours with an emergency 3-pin plug.
● A full charge in 12 hours with a 3.6 kW charger,
● A full charge in 7 hours with either a 7 kW charger or 22 kW charger.
● 20-80% charge in around 40 minutes using a 50 kW or 30 minutes using a 150 kW charger.
For the MG HS PHEV, you’ll get:
● A full charge in 7 hours with an emergency 3-pin plug.
● A full charge in 5 hours with a 3.6 kW charger,
● A full charge in 3 hours with either a 7 kW charger or 22 kW charger.
Please note that PHEVs cannot use rapid charging facilities.

Please note that PHEVs cannot use rapid charging facilities.
The MG 5 electric vehicle has a maximum range of 214 miles on a single, full battery charge (WLTP).
In terms of maximum range on one battery charge, the MG ZS can accomplish 163 miles in one go (WLTP).
How much it’ll cost to charge your MG will depend on the car model you have. An MG ZS EV will cost around 8.09p cost per mile, the MG HS PHEV will cost around 15.38p cost per mile, and the MG 5 EV will cost 7.68p cost per mile.
