Peugeot EV & PHEVs Models

Peugeot has produced various models of electric vehicles for the commercial market, and the model of EV you decide to invest in will impact the charging of your Peugeot. Currently, Peugeot has:

⚡️Peugeot e-2008 (50 kWh battery)

⚡️Peugeot e-208 (50 kWh battery)

⚡️Peugeot e-Expert (50 or 75 kWh battery)

⚡️Peugeot e-Rifter (50 kWh battery)

⚡️Peugeot e-Traveller (50 kWh battery)

⚡️Peugeot iOn (16 kWh battery)

⚡️Peugeot Partner Electric (22.5 kWh battery)

⚡️Peugeot 3008 SUV PHEV (13.2 kWh battery)

⚡️Peugeot 508 PHEV (11.8 kWh battery)

The battery size is vital to how you should charge your model of Peugeot and how long you should charge it.

Peugeot EV Cables

When you decide to get a Peugeot, getting charging cables of exceptional quality is important. Cutting corners and getting a cheaper cable may mean that you’ll need to replace them more often. It is, therefore, more economical to opt for a quality cable.

At Smartly, we have a host of compatible charging cables to choose from:

Smartly Type 2 to Type 2 cables

Smartly Type 1 to Type 2 cables

Peugeot EV Chargers

When it comes to getting set up to go fully electric, home chargers are a pivotal part of the process. Don’t get stuck using an emergency 3-pin plug for long-term charging!

We’d recommend 7.4kW chargers for home charging. They are the most efficient and quickest option for most electric cars.

At Smartly, we provide a range of chargers, including 7.4kW options:

Easee One

Wallbox Pulsar Max

MyEnergi Zappi

But these aren’t the only chargers we offer. See our full range by clicking here.

For the Peugeot car models that use a 50 kWh battery, you can expect to achieve a full charge in:
  • 22 hours with an emergency 3-pin plug. 14 hours with a 3.6 kW charger.
  • 7 hours with a 7kW charger.
  • 7 hours with a 22kW charger.

  • However, if only charging to 80% while using rapid charging, then you can charge in:
  • 40 minutes using a 50kW charger.
  • 20 minutes using a 150kW charger.

  • For the Peugeot iOn, you can expect:
  • A full charge in 7 hours using a 3-pin plug.
  • A full charge in 5 hours using 3.6kW, 7kW, and 22kW chargers.
  • 80% charge in 20 minutes using both 50kW and 150kW chargers.

  • For the Peugeot Partner Electric, you can get:
  • A full charge in 10 hours using a 3-pin plug.
  • A full charge in 6 hours using 3.6kW, 7kW, and 22kW chargers.
  • 80% charge in 20 minutes using both 50kW and 150kW chargers.

  • For the Peugeot 3008 SUV PHEV, you can get:
  • A full charge in 6 hours using a 3-pin emergency plug.
  • A full charge in 4 hours using a 3.6kW or 7kW charger.
  • A Full charge in 2 hours using a 22kW charger.

  • For the Peugeot 508 SUV PHEV, you can get:
  • .A full charge in 5 hours using a 3-pin emergency plug.
  • A full charge in 3 hours using a 3.6kW or 7kW charger.
  • A Full charge in 2 hours using a 22kW charger.

  • Do note that PHEVs cannot use rapid chargers such as 50 kW or 150 kW chargers.
The Peugeot e-208 costs around 16 p/kWh to charge at home, which equates to around 4p per mile. If using rapid charging facilities, it’ll cost around 30p/kWh to 80%, which costs around 6p per mile.
The Peugeot e-2008 is slightly more expensive to run than the e-208. At 16p/kWh for home charging, it’ll cost 4.3p per mile. For rapid public charging points, it’ll cost 6.5p per mile at the cost of 30p/kWh to 80% charge.
On a full battery and at maximum efficiency, the Peugeot e-2008 can travel for around 191 to 206 miles before needing to be charged again.
Assuming you start with a full battery and drive efficiently, the maximum range of a Peugeot e-208 is around 217 miles.
