Seat currently has two electric vehicles on the commercial market, and when you invest in one, it is best to invest in a robust charging setup to get the most out of them.
A good home charging setup should have premium charging cables of a sufficient type and a charger to speed up the charging process. Relying on a 3-pin plug is never a good idea, even for a PHEV.
Charging your Seat correctly will allow you to get more out of its battery.

Seat has two options on the market right now for their electric range, one battery-electric car and one PHEV:

Charging up your Seat will depend upon the size of the battery and the kind of charging equipment you invest in.

Ensuring you have the right cable to charge your Seat is paramount, as, without the right cable, you won’t be able to charge your car cost-effectively.
We have a range of UK-manufactured, high-quality charging cables that are compatible with Seat EVs and PHEVs:
Seat EV Chargers
Aside from charging cables, if you plan on getting a home setup for charging (which is highly recommended), then you’d be best investing in a 7.4 kW charger. Three phase chargers are better suited for commercial use, as most homes will lack a suitable power supply.
While we recommend 7.4 kW chargers for cost-effective charging, we have a full range of chargers, including:
For the Seat Leon e-HYBRID, you can achieve a full charge in:
6 hours with an emergency 3-pin plug.
4 hours with a 3.6 kW charger, 7 kW charger, or 22 kW charger.
A Seat Leon e-HYBRID cannot use rapid 50 kW or 150 kW chargers.
For the Seat Mii Electric, you can reach:
A full charge in 16 hours with an emergency 3-pin plug.
A full charge in 10 hours with a 3.6 kW charger, 7 kW charger
A full charge in 5 hours using a 22 kW charger.
60-80% charge in around 40 minutes using a 50 kW or 150 kW charger.
The Leon e-HYBRID is unable to use rapid chargers, meaning that the only option is to home charge it. That means that the average electric cost per mile is around 10.54p.
The Seat Mii Electric has a fairly small battery capacity which means it is cheap to run. The average electric cost per mile for a Mii electric is 6.78p.
The Seat Mii electric is designed for urban use and has a total range of 161 miles on a full charge.
